Update: Bully Ray & Devon: Who Signed With TNA & Who Didn't

Bully Ray
PWInsider.com is reporting Bully Ray has signed a new two year deal with TNA. As of now, Devon does not have a new deal in place which surprises many backstage as he's one of the most liked and easiest to work with in the company

Update on Jack Swagger,

Monday Night, Jack Swagger was seen leaving the arena and told AJ Lee he needs to take some time off. The current plan for Swagger is to take a few weeks off and return on October 1. This event is scheduled in Oklahoma, which is where Swagger went to college.
There is also rumors that his repackaging will include Swagger being a face, which would fit perfectly with his return "home."

ROH Star Says WWE Now Looking to ROH for Talent

Ring of Honor star Mike Bennett recently conducted an interview with Kayfabe Wrestling Radio, during which the wrestler claimed that "if WWE wants someone, they are going to look to Ring of Honor first." He also noted that several Superstars and members of production mentioned that Triple H specifically has been looking at Ring of Honor talents as of late.
Bennett also talked about visiting WrestleMania 28 with Maria, the "Prodigy" gimmick, facing Kevin Steen for the World Title and more! The full interview is available at WildTalkRadio.com.

Did WWE Waste Big Show's Return?

Tensai and Brodus Clay faced off on the Sept. 24 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. What was developing into an enjoyable television match was interrupted by the disappointing return of the Big Show.
After a brief hiatus from TV, Big Show walked down the ramp and laid out both Clay and Tensai with a WMD punch.
Big Show made a decent impact in his return, but the WWE wasted the potential Big Show vs. Clay feud they had been building toward.
When Big Show was being built up as John Laurinaitis' No. 1 heel, he was an unstoppable force. Brodus Clay was one of the few wrestlers that stood up to Big Show and tried to stop his destruction of the various WWE wrestlers. By having Big Show nonchalantly knock out Clay in his return, they've squandered any possibility of a future feud between the two.
Clay and Big Show had good chemistry and a compelling story behind them. Other than that, the most disappointing thing about this was the fact that a feud with Big Show would have done wonders for Clay.
Without a well-developed and compelling feud, Clay hasn't had the chance to show what he can really do. He hasn't had a chance to develop much of a character. At this rate, he may never get the chance. Big Show ruined any chance of them having a compelling feud with a single punch.
Big Show could have knocked anyone else on the WWE roster out. There's a plethora of talent that the WWE seems to care much less about. Instead, the WWE wasted a confrontation worthy of a pay-per-view undercard match.
WWE fans see a new side of Brodus Clay.

WWE: Put The Dudley Boyz with CM Punk and Paul Heyman

Perhaps no other wrestlers fit the bill as “Paul Heyman guys” more so than The Dudley Boyz.
Its a conversation that kept coming up during my radio show Tuesday.
Interestingly, their contracts are coming to an end with TNA at the same time Paul Heyman has entered a new onscreen venture with WWE.
Heyman's role with Brock Lesnar kept the possibilities limited.
He actually is Lesnar's representation and confidant in many professional endeavors. Lesnar is a former UFC World Champion; he doesn't need a stable built around him. He also isn't around regularly enough on WWE television to build a group around him.
Being aligned with CM Punk provides several options for Heyman and WWE.
The Dudley Boyz could act as bodyguards for the WWE Champion—they would help garner the "respect" CM Punk deserves.
I can picture The Dudley's in a similar role as Ron and Don Harris played in both WCW and TNA: Recognized as a dominant unit—great role players to provide the muscle.
Devon's success is limited without Bully Ray. Bully Ray's success is limited if he thinks he'll be a top heel in WWE by carrying over the groundwork he had in TNA.
Vince McMahon commits to his ideas—not the ideas that began somewhere else. Perhaps if he was never known as “Bully” in TNA, WWE could have taken credit for creating it to use in their “Don't be a bully, be a STAR” campaign.
TNA was where Bully Ray was developed, so WWE won't push Bully Ray.
Let The Dudley's make an impact returning as role players in what could potentially be the storyline of the year.
Then, once it runs its course, hopefully Triple H and WWE will still be committed to the tag team division for the long term. The duo could offer a veteran presence to help relaunch the division and put over younger teams.
The Dudley Boyz being paired together in WWE is the way it should be.

Report: Christian Being Kept Off WWE Television

PWInsider.com is reporting WWE is keeping Christian off of television until TNA's Bound For Glory weekend is over.
Christian will be inducting Sting into TNA's Hall of Fame as per a deal agreed upon by TNA and WWE earlier this year. The deal is what allowed Ric Flair, when under TNA contact, to appear at WWE's Hall of Fame back in April.
WWE was looking to have Christian feud with Antonio Cesaro, however that has been put on hold. Reportedly, WWE will pick the feud back up later in 2012.

Report: Possible Future Plans For Raw & Smackdown GM Positions

Both AJ and Booker T having trouble in their GM roles in the storyline at the same time is said to be part of a plan according to F4Wonline.com.
AJ LEE
The belief is eventually Vince McMahon will return on-air to fire both GM's and bring in a big name who will run both shows.

Exclusive: WWE Officials Consider Bringing Back Nexus

Wrestling Universe has learned from sources that WWE officials have spoken this week about the possibility of reforming the Nexus stable.
WWE was shocked to hear the Nexus chants last Monday during the match between Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel. On Friday, one of the top stories on WWE.com was a story talking about if Wade Barrett would ever bring back Nexus.
A source said, "the only reason for putting up a top story on the website about a glorified squash match, is to hear more from the fans." WWE wants to gauge the general opinion and memory of Nexus from the WWE Universe.
There are two main reasons WWE officials have given thought to bringing back the stable. The first being they feel it would provide another opportunity to have Barrett in a lead role and they will be very aggressive in showcasing him to look as strong as possible. The second reason is the Nexus name and brand sold a lot of merchandise the first time around.
As of now, the current plan is to hear if the chants continue as well as develop possible creative ideas IF they were to move forward with it.
There is no confirmation of the group coming back but as of this week the idea has been put on the table.

Is Abyss the Leader of Aces & Eights?

It's a theory I've had going for awhile now, but the little speech by "The Armbreaker" made me think it's Abyss even more.

First of all, he was wearing a jacket with the hood up over his head completely covering his face, something Abyss is known to wear. He has a pretty big gut like Abyss, something Luke Gallows doesn't have (the guy rumored to be "The Armbreaker") And plus after Hogan told Joseph Parks to watch over Brooke, "The Armbreaker" appeared talking about being locked in the Impact zone. Why would they have Joseph Park start doing the investigation anyways if he was nowhere involved the first couple of months?

Now I could be and probably am completely wrong here, but is it a convincing theory? Is Abyss/Joseph Parks the leader of Ace N' Eights?

What are youre thoughts?

Daniel Bryan Speaks on His Firing in 2010, Where He Is At With The Company Now

Daniel Bryan was a guest on 98.5 SportsHub in Boston on Friday. Here are some of the highlights of his interview:

-Bryan talked about Jerry Lawler and his heart attack during his match oDaniel Bryann Raw. He said that he thought a fight broke out in the crowd, but then realized that Lawler was bent over at the announcer's table.

- Bryan credits being in the Indy scene for a decade to help him get over in the WWE now, especially since he is a smaller competitor.

-Daniel Bryan also admitted that he was fired for choking Justin Roberts with his tie because it was not "PG," in which he defended his actions. He also spoke that they were given general ideas, a "gang-like" mentality, and he was not sure what was too much to do because he was new with the company.

- Bryan also said "sports entertainment" is better than "wrestling" because people will get bored with just 8 hours of wrestling each week. He says that they need to focus on storylines and building characters, not necessarily just wrestlers.

-Daniel Bryan admitted he is no longer a vegan. It was the hardest thing to find food on the road for him to maintain that lifestyle.

- William Regal came up with Daniel Bryan, and that "Buddy Peacock" was another name talked about for him.

Breaking: WWE Superstar Is Granted His Release

WWE superstar Tyler Reks has noted on TwitLonger that he has asked for, and has been granted, his WWE release. The following is an excerpt from his Tweet blog:

I just want to say thank you to WWE, Inc. for allowing me to be part of an incredible entertainment experience. On Monday, I asked for my release and the company was gracious enough to grant my request.
I also want to thank my boys. You know who you are. Especially though, a huge thank you to Hawkins. You were like a brother to me the last year and I'll miss you and will always love you bro. I wish you the best and thanks for understanding that I had to go be a dad. When she's older, and able to realize what happened, I know Mia will thank you as well.

Report: Brock Lesnar's Future With WWE & Triple H Rematch

F4Wonline.com is reporting the original plan called for a rematch between Brock Lesnar and Triple H at November's Survivor Series.

However, the plan is reportedly changed and the match is being penciled in for October's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

It was previously reported and still stands that Lesnar is expected to be offered a new contract after his current one expires around WrestleMania 29. The financial numbers from SummerSlam's live gate and buyrates is expected to play a key part in the negotations as Lesnar was the top billed name for the event.

Report: Why Triple H Made Speech On Raw

F4Wonline.com is reporting Triple H originally wasn't planned to give a speech on last night's episode of Raw.

WWE creative decided in the past week that he needed to give an emotional speech because of the crowd reaction at SummerSlam. The feeling was the audience at SummerSlam didn't take Triple H's loss serious enough.

More on Devon's TNA Situation, Will Bully Ray Leave As Well?

As we reported earlier, TNA TV Champion Devon implied on Twitter that he is leaving TNA as he thanked the fans and said he'd see them "again down the road real soon."
Devon has since continued posting on Twitter, and answered "Yes" when a fan asked him if his TNA contract had expired. He then posted, "im ready to see where god bring me to next. i cant wait . i see big thing on the way" and "o and HELL NO IM NOT RETIRING."
According to F4WOnline.com, both Devon and Bully Ray's contracts are expiring this week, and as we have been reporting, both talents have been involved in what has been described as a lengthy and tedious re-negotiation process with TNA.
As far as Bully Ray is concerned, it's possible he will be leaving the company as well given the fact that he has stated in the past that him and Devon are a "package deal," but nothing has been confirmed as to what he plans on doing. It is worth noting, however, that he did post the following on Twitter, which could indicate that he's finishing up with TNA at Bound For Glory, since it takes place in Phoenix
